Éduc’alcool at a Glance

Éduc’alcool is a pioneering Quebec non-profit that has championed responsible drinking since 1989, informing and educating Quebecers of all ages about the impacts of alcohol consumption. Today, nearly 60 % of Quebecers say they have a moderate relationship with alcohol.

To finance awareness and education activities, the Société des alcools du Québec adds a levy of $0.01 to $0.03 (depending on product category) to the sale price of each alcoholic item. These levies totaled about $3.6 million in 2024-2025. Éduc’alcool directs 85 % of its funding straight to prevention and education programs aligned with its mission.
